Attorney Kurt Arnold
Attorney Kurt Arnold was born and raised in Houston, Texas. The lifetime Texan later went on to graduate from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Government with High Honors. At a staggeringly young age of 19, he then enrolled in The University of Texas Law School and graduated in three years. During his time there, he was successfully able to become a proud member of the Order of the Coif (something only ten percent of the class had a membership of), as well as being able to receive the Dean's Achievement Awards in Business Associations, Evidence and Professional Responsibility.
During law school, Kurt worked for the Governor of Texas; he also interned for the Texas Supreme Court. Upon graduation, he received considerable legal experience in many different aspects of the legal field. He not only clerked for a federal judge in the Southern District of Texas, but he also worked at Susman Godfrey, LLP, a nationally recognized trial firm. During his time there, he met Attorney Jason Itkin and the two later left the firm to strike out on their own.
Meet Kurt Arnold
As an attorney, Kurt has had considerable success. He is not only peer-recognized and acknowledged by the Courts, adversaries and media alike, but has also gained respect throughout the area as a business leader. This has led to him being recognized by the Houston Business Journal in the "40 Under 40" list from 2011. This distinction is given to those that the journal believes are leaders within their industry and are also under 40 years of age. This is based not only on their industry recognition, but their success in the field.
Other recognitions that Kurt has been given include being a peer-rated "Rising Star" from Thomson Reuters in 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011. In 2005, the H Texas Magazine also named him as one of the "Top Lawyers for the People." In fact, in just FIVE years of practicing law, Kurt has handled more than THIRTY cases in front of judges and juries. With an emphasis on personal injury law, he has been proud to serve as an advocate for victim's rights and works tirelessly to provide his clients with the high-quality representation that they deserve when it is needed most.
Kurt lives with his wife Tara Davis in the Houston, TX area; both are members of the St. Paul's Methodist Church in the area. Beyond this, they remain considerably active in charities and the community as a whole and are always looking for ways in which they can give back. Kurt also remains an active member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He strongly believes in their mission and is proud to give both time and money towards helping them in their efforts to provide reliable legal help to those without a voice.

Verdict of $38 Million Won Against One of Hawaii’s Largest Corporations
The legal team of Kurt Arnold and Jason Itkin from Arnold & Itkin, LLP worked together to obtain a $38.2 million jury verdict on behalf of their client, Richard Foreman, against Key Principal Partners LLC and its parent Key Corporation. It was determined that the company was guilty of breaching their fiduciary duties, as well getting wrongfully involved in the business transactions of the plaintiff.
Injured Plaintiff Receives a $14 Million Settlement
By working with Attorneys Kurt Arnold, Jason Itkin and Mike Pierce, an injured man was able to settle their case two days before the trial was set to start. The injured had suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident and was to use the compensation to help receive the medical treatment that he justly deserved. The case was originally filed in Galveston County in March of 2008 and was set to begin the trial in February 2, 2009 before it reached a settlement of $14 million at the end of January.

Brain Injury Victim Receives $7.2 Million In a case that was riddled with complex legal issues, relief was found for a Louisiana plaintiff who was able to recover a $7.2 million settlement. Represented by Arnold & Itkin, the plaintiff was able to receive the money that they need to recover the compensation that they deserve. The case actually was taken to trial in October of 2006, however, when it came around the time for the jury selection, the defendant chose to settle. Over four million was included in the client's total recovery; two and a half million was put into a structured fund for the future needs of the client.
Wrongful Death Case Ends in $5.9 Million Settlement Arnold & Itkin represented a widow and her family in a wrongful death case after the widow's husband was killed in a tragic industrial accident. The deceased had been employed as a Southeast Texas Plant when a serious of pipes dropped, crushing him. Kurt Arnold took on the case and worked with the widow; the case was filed in Harris County, TX. Due to an arbitration clause in the deceased's employment agreement, the case ultimately went to arbitration. Several depositions later and only a few weeks before arbitration was set to begin, the case reached a confidential settlement that was for more than twelve times the special damages that were present in the case.
Arnold & Itkin Wins Unanimous $4.9 Million Jury Verdict Attorneys Kurt Arnold, Jason Itkin and Paul Skrabanek represented a client who had suffered serious injuries to his arm and back. Through hard work and dedication, the firm was able to obtain a unanimous $4.9 million jury verdict. The trial lasted a week and a half and was tried in the 157th District Court for Harris County, TX before Judge Wilson. Daughter of Deceased Recovers $4.8 Million in Wrongful Death Claim Attorneys Kurt Arnold and Paul Skrabanek from Arnold & Itkin, LLP worked together recently to represent the daughter of a man who recently died in Port Arthur, Texas. Together, the attorneys were able to successfully prove the negligence of the defendant. The case was filed in Jefferson County, TX and was tried before the Honorable Judge Donald Floyd. After only four hours of deliberating, the jury returned with what was considered a unanimous jury verdict of $4.8 million.
